With just nine games to go this season, promotion-chasing Newcastle United are six points clear of third-placed Huddersfield and although that may change, the Magpies do have one foot in the Premier League.
It has been – for the most part – a successful campaign for Rafa Benítez’s ensemble; top of the league and nearing the finish line.
The highs have certainly outweighed the rare lows of this long slog of a title chase.
United, in typical fashion, have won crucial games in the dying embers and we’ve seen plenty of amazing scenes depicting the fans’ elation.
